Thermally Fused Laminates (TFL)
Available on all Basic, Premium, and Prestige line offerings
TFL laminates are made using a wood core, such as MDF or particleboard, and a decorative paper that is soaked with a resin. A manufacturing process using heat and immense pressure permanently bonds the decorative paper to the wood core. Because the process is a fusion, the decorative paper and wood core become essentially one piece, eliminating the risk of delamination.
Acrylics / Polymers
Available on all Basic, Premium, and Prestige line offerings
Acrylic (polymer) finishes typically begin with a wood-based core, like MDF or particleboard, which is coated with an acrylic resin or polymer. Under controlled heat and pressure, the acrylic fuses with the core, creating a singular, robust surface layer. This fusion process means the acrylic finish and wood core become one piece, minimizing the chance of peeling or delamination. The result is a smooth, highly durable surface with excellent resistance to scratches and moisture.
